Our lab set up a cell-cell fusion system by expressing flipped-SNARE outside the plasma membrane. Currently I am trying to use this flipped-SNARE mediated cell-cell fusion system as well as in vitro liposome fusion system to study the fusion mechanism mediated by SNARE, and how some other proteins regulate the SNARE complex formation and membrane fusion.
