Complexins play a crucial role in regulating synaptic exocytosis.

Recent studies in our lab have shown that complexin primarily act as a ‘clamp’ on SNARE-mediated membrane fusion, but the precise molecular mechanism of their function remains unclear.

I am doing a detailed structure-function analysis on complexin to understand the structural basis of their function and to delineate the assembly and molecular architecture of the clamped SNAREpin.
